The holidays are the times for traditional recipes.
And it doesn't hurt to try something new.
Here's a collection of some old favourites.
And, hopefully, something that will become a new favourite.
Happy Holidays!!!

Good Morning Margaret, I am just popping over to visit you after visiting Carole's Chatter as I liked the sound of your 1930's Dollar Fruit Cake. I have a couple of recipes from my grandmother, Ivy, for fruit cake which I make over and over again, but it is always nice to find another recipe.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to trying your recipe.
I have enjoyed my visit so I have become a new follower.
Best Wishes to you.

Hi, Daphne,
ReplyDeleteThank you for popping over from Carole's Chatter and becoming a new follower! I hope you find many recipes here that you'll enjoy making. I’m afraid that the 1930’s fruitcake will cost more than a dollar!
Please let me know if you are hunting for another oldie but goodie. There are so many new recipes being created, but sometimes it's just nice to cook up something that brings back memories.
Best Wishes and Happy Holidays!
Margaret
